Packing a suitcase and taking a short city break has become something we really enjoy doing. So when we found out our favourite band, Kings of Leon would be headlining at BST Hyde Park we literally jumped at the chance to book up for a London city break. This was my first proper visit to London and first time attending a music festival. A perfect way to combine the two. We travelled to London by Virgin Trains and stayed at Park Plaza County Hall hotel and Travelodge Waterloo London, for two nights each. Both hotels were in great locations for exploring the city.
Rolling around London as a wheelchair user was pretty good and I didn’t have any major issues. We didn’t use public transport during our stay. Instead, we opted for Uber, which was easy and cheap. Other than attending the festival we enjoyed exploring the city by seeing and visiting places such Westminster, London Eye, Tate Modern, South Bank, Tower Bridge, St.Paul’s Cathedral, Buckingham Palace and more. Here is our London photo diary to recap our fantastic trip.
