Gigs I’m excited for this year

I know, I know! We’re almost halfway through the year and I’m only now writing about gigs I’m excited for this year. But as I looked through my calendar today, I thought it would be fun to tell you what gigs I’m looking forward to. I’m a massive gig-goer after all. I love music and I love live music!

Gavin DeGraw

Wednesday 17 May, O2 ABC Glasgow

Gavin DeGraw is one of my favourite American musicians and I’ve been lucky enough to see him perform each time he’s come to the UK. I even got to meet him twice, but who’s counting! I discovered Gavin back in 2003 when his smash hit ‘I Don’t Want to Be’ was the theme song for One Tree Hill (I loved that show) and I’ve been hooked ever since. Crazy to think that he almost turned down the offer to feature on this show, which ultimately put him on the road to his huge success. I can’t wait for ‘An Acoustic Evening with Gavin DeGraw’.

Justin Currie

Friday 26 May, Perth Concert Hall

To be honest, Justin Currie isn’t someone I’d typically listen to or see live for that matter. However, my partner in crime is a fan and I wouldn’t be a very good girlfriend if I didn’t go along with him, but in saying that I am looking forward to it. It will be my first time at Perth Concert Hall so I’m excited to review the accessibility.

Nashville

Friday 16 June, SSE Hydro Glasgow

Nashville in Concert is back in the UK and this time we’re not having to drive all the way down to Bristol to see them. Woo! If you read about our last time seeing them then you’ll know how much I love the TV show Nashville and their gig in Bristol. This time I’m letting Allan off the hook and going with my Mum as I think she’ll love it just as much as I will.

Kings of Leon

Thursday 6 July, BST Hyde Park

Yes, I’ve already seen Kings of Leon three times already this year but one more isn’t going to hurt. Right? Well, maybe my bank account. They are my favourite band after all and I couldn’t’ miss out on seeing them at Hyde Park for the BST festival. It will be my first proper festival experience and I also get to meet my fellow blogger friend, Hannah for the first time. See you on the accessible platform, Hannah! It’s going to be amazing.

Maren Morris

Monday 13 November, O2 ABC Glasgow

Maren Morris is a recent discovery, but a blooming well fantastic one. Seriously, if you haven’t heard of this amazing talent then I highly recommend you check her out immediately. One of the things I love about her is that every track from her ‘Hero’ album is awesome, which means I never skip to just the good ones because each one is brilliant. ‘The Hero Tour’ is coming to Glasgow and I can’t wait.

So there you have it – my current gig plans for this year. I’m sure there will be many more events added to my 2017 calendar as the year progresses, but so far it’s looking good.

What gigs do you have planned for this year?

      1. I hope you have a lot of fun!

Not this year, but then again I went to see Five Finger Death Punch & Shinedown last year as a surprise! So who really knows! 🙂

  1. Omggg you’re seeing Nashville, I’m so incredibly jealous. I’m moving house at some point this year so not booking anything as I don’t know what part of the country I’ll be in. I love going to gigs too though!

    1. Oh I love the show, Sarah. They were so good last year when I seen them in Bristol. Oh that’s exciting, hopefully you find out soon where you will be moving to. Fingers crossed for you 🙂
