If you are a regular reader or follow me on social media you will know that I am vegan. I often write about our favourite vegan restaurants or products I’m enjoying in my monthly favourite posts. As someone who loves makeup and skincare products, the idea of having a beauty subscription box delivered to my door has always interested me.

So when I came across TheVeganKind beauty box with entirely vegan and cruelty-free products I was excited to find out more.

The box is sitting surrounded by green plants.Every two months a new beauty box will arrive on my doorstep filled with a selection of sample and full-sized beauty and skincare products. With TheVeganKind, access to ecological, skin-friendly and cruelty-free products has never been easier.”

– The VeganKind

Last year I bought one of the past beauty boxes as a one-off. I was curious to see what the products were like before signing up for the subscription boxes. There were six products in that box, including a Dr Botanicals Moroccan Rose facial oil, Tropika UK Coconut cleansing oil, Spectrum Collections makeup brush, Umberto Giannini hair cream, Bloomtown tinted lip balm and Eden perfume.

All the products were amazing, but my overall favourites from that box are the Dr Botanicals Moroccan Rose Superfood Facial Oil and Eden Perfumes No. 78. I absolutely love facial oil and have since purchased the full-size bottle. The perfume is beautiful and is a vegan version of Lady Million by Paco Rabanne. I loved the travel sized bottle and was handy to pop in my bag when we went to Barcelona. Now when I wear it, it reminds of me that holiday and all the good times.

I loved the range and quality of the products in that beauty box so signed up for the subscription.

The Products I Received

Inside the February box, I found five beauty products that I couldn’t wait to try. What makes it more exciting is when I don’t recognise any brands, as it makes it a real surprise then. It’s all packaged neatly with a leaflet detailing each product.

Natura Rose Infused Sheet Mask

I’m a big fan of sheet masks and love popping one on several times a week. I especially love hydrating masks like this rose infused sheet mask. Having never heard of the brand Natura I was really excited to try it out. It was better than I thought it was going to be. It felt amazing on and I loved relaxing with it on my face while it worked its magic. My skin felt incredibly soft and moisturised after using this. Big thumbs up and I will definitely buy more.
(RRP £4.95)

Balade en Provence Apricot Cuticle Balm

This cuticle balm looks so cute in its apricot shaped container. I’m a bit of a sucker for novelty things like that, but the actual product has got to be worth it too. Thankfully this doesn’t just look cute it also works. It contains sweet almond oil, cocoa butter, candelilla wax, sunflower wax, olive oil and other natural ingredients. Great for softening cuticles and smells lovely too.
(RRP £8.90)

LoofCo Bathtime Heart Loofah

I really wanted to love this Egyptian Loofah pad, but unfortunately, it didn’t work for me. This 100% biodegradable loofah is an alternative to plastic exfoliator pads. Once it’s immersed in water it is meant to expand and become much softer. It did expand, but it didn’t become soft, or at least not as soft as I’d hope for. Then again it is meant to be an exfoliating pad, so I guess its meant to be somewhat rough. Maybe I’m just a sensitive soul. What I do love about this natural loofah is how it can be composted when it’s worn out. How amazing is that? Oh, it looks really cute hanging in my shower!
(RRP £3.00)

My Instant Effects 3D Lip Plumping Treatment

I was really curious to try this 3D lip plumper as it claims to give the lips a fuller pout without aggravation or pain. The patented OX2 technology is clinically proven to plump lips by 20% in two minutes. Really? Well, I tried it out not thinking much would happen, but I feel it does make my lips look plumper and smoother. This lip gloss also feels really nice on my lips with a silky finish and doesn’t have that sticky feeling. It’s a yes from me.
(RRP £24.99)

MEMI Makeup Radiance Highlighter Cream 30ml

I’ve always used a powder highlighter so it was nice to see a cream highlighter in this beauty box. The MEMI Radiance Highlighter Cream contains light-reflecting shimmer particles that are designed to melt easily into the skin for a lightweight and buildable application. I’ve used this on the tops of my cheekbones and brow bones as well as an eyeshadow, over my cupid’s bow and down the centre of my nose. There are three highlighter shades – Juicy, Paradise or Golden Years. I have Paradise and I like that it has a cream to powder finish.
(RRP £12.00)

TheVeganKind Beauty Box: Verdict + Subscription Details

A closer look inside the TheVeganKind beauty box.TheVeganKind Beauty Box has been a great way for me to try new products that I might not have ever heard of. Sometimes I see products I want to try but for whatever reason, don’t buy for myself. This way I’m getting to discover and try new cruelty-free and vegan brands without spending lots of money.

The total value of all the products in this TheVeganKind beauty box add up to over £50. As I opted for 3 boxes over 6 months, it works out that each box is £13.50 plus £3.15 postage. I reckon that’s a pretty good bargain right there. Boxes will be delivered every two months and there is no contract so you can cancel the subscription whenever you wish.

I’m really happy with the products in this box and I can’t wait to try the products in the new April box, which just arrived a few days ago. I will be reviewing that box very soon.

20p from every box sold is donated to Animal Free Research UK, which is a charity working on ways to replace animal product testing. TheVeganKind also has lifestyle boxes with vegan food, drinks, treats and a lifestyle product.
