I’ve had my eye on the NIP+FAB skincare range for a while now, but I was a little apprehensive about buying it if it didn’t agree with my sensitive skin. My skin has become more sensitive in the last year or so for some unknown reason to me and a lot of products I’ve tried in that time seem to have irritated it, so trying anything new is a bit of a gamble.
Recently when I was browsing online I discovered that the NIP+FAB range was half-price so I decided to purchase the Glycolic Fix Exfoliating Facial Pads, Glycolic Fix Cleanser and the Glycolic Fix Scrub.
I didn’t know much about Glycolic, but I always assumed it would be quite harsh and used for facial peels and things like that. When I looked it up online I found out that it ‘is a natural ingredient derived from sugar cane, though it is now often made synthetically. It falls into the set of ingredients called AHA’s, or alpha hydroxy acids.’
I’ve mainly been using the facial pads, to begin with, as I didn’t want to overload my skin by using all three at once. I’ll slowly keep adding the cleanser and scrub into my routine more over time.
Glycolic Fix Exfoliating Facial Pads
The Glycolic Fix Exfoliating Facial Pads contain glycolic acid on one side that helps retexture and resurface the skin, the other side of the pads contains hyaluronic acid and blue daisy which moistures and soothes the skin after exfoliating.
They could last you two months if only used once a day as there are 60 pads in the tub. Each pad is completely soaked so you get the same experience with the first and the very last pad.
Even though I’ve only been using the exfoliating facial pads for a month I love them. I thought they would leave my face feeling tight and dry, but they’ve been working great for my sensitive skin and there has been no irritation.
I don’t suffer from breakouts apart from the odd spot here and there, but I do see and feel an improvement in my skin. It has become so soft and seems a lot brighter too.
The exfoliating side of the pad has helped the dry patches I have always suffered from too. This has also helped with my makeup application giving my face a smoother surface. I am so happy with this as it has allowed me to wear liquid foundation again after such a long time of hating how it looked on my skin.
The only thing that these pads haven’t helped with is the redness I have on my cheeks, but I still have hope even if it takes a little longer.
There is also a Glycolic Fix Serum in the range that I’d like to try next. It is an overnight serum also used to improve the texture of the skin while reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles. I definitely feel like the ingredients in these NIP+FAB products are working well for my skin so I’m going to continue to use them and look forward to achieving my goal of better skin in 2015.
What are your thoughts on these products? Do you have any favourite NIP+FAB products?
