Current Obsessions #1

What’s a good way of getting to know someone a little better? Find out their obsessions of course! So I thought it would be fun to share some of my current obsessions with you. I’m hoping I can do this type of post monthly and share what new obsessions I have gained.

Product

100% Pure Eye Cream: I bought the acai berry antioxidant eye cream in New York last year and the shop assistant gave me a few samples of the organic coffee bean caffeine eye cream. I’ve mainly been using the samples and I love it. It smells amazing and like the name suggests its ingredients are 100% pure and 100% vegan too, which is great. Another reason for loving this eye cream is that every time I use it the smell triggers memories of New York for me. It’s Anti-inflammatory, anti-ageing, brightening and nourishing. This eye cream and the Origins seems to be the only eyes creams that I’ve used that don’t irritate my eye area.

Item

Notebooks: In the past month I’ve bought about four different notebooks and only just started writing in one of them. Why do I keep on buying notebooks with cool designs on them when I don’t actually need them. The obsession is real. Help! They look good on my desk though.

Website

Pinterest: My current obsession with Pinterest is on the verge of becoming a problem again. Every time I browse through Pinterest I find a billion new ideas for DIY projects, new ways to decorate the house and a billion other things that I think are great ideas, but never actually do.

TV Series

Supernatural: I’ve been binge-watching season 10 of Supernatural lately. For some reason, I had fallen a bit behind during this season, so I decided it was time to finish the season off. While watching it, I couldn’t help myself from wondering why it had taken me so long to complete this season because I blooming love Supernatural. And no, I don’t just watch it to see Jensen and Jared (Dean and Sam Winchester)…honest! It’s crazy to think it’s been running for 10 years, but I’ve heard there will only be another two seasons. I don’t want it to end. I have a feeling I might go back to season 1 and watch them all again soon.

Favourite Food

Cherries: I’ve become a little obsessed with cherries this month. They taste so good, but they also have lots of health benefits too. Reduce inflammation, help with insomnia, good for your heart, lower insulin resistance and ward off cancer are just a few of the benefits of eating cherries. I find myself not being able to stop once I start eating them (like Pringles but a lot healthier). I’m even thinking about learning how to tie a knot in the cherry stem with my tongue, haha!

Books

The Cuckoo’s Calling: My goal of reading more in 2015 is still going strong. I’m currently reading this book by Robert Galbraith (J.K Rowling).  Its a crime story about a private detective (Cormoran Strike) who is hired to investigate the death of a famous model. It’s his job to find out if, in fact, it was suicide or something more sinister. I haven’t finished reading it yet, but I’m enjoying it so far and it’s the first in a series featuring Cormoran Strike.

What are some of your current obsessions?

Supernatural is great. I’ll miss it when it does finish. 🙂
