I’m always cold. No matter what time of year it is, my legs and feet are as cold as the Antarctica. I can be wearing two pairs of socks and the fluffiest warmest slippers all day long and I’ll still go to bed with ice-cold feet.
To give you a little insight into how I try to keep warm around this time of year, you’re liking to find me sitting in my house wearing a scarf around my neck, a fleecy blanket over my legs, several layers, a jumper, two pairs of socks and fluffy slippers. Sounds sexy, doesn’t it?! I also have one of those little portable heaters at home and in work.
I’m often teased that the reason I’m always cold is because I have a cold heart. But I wholeheartedly disagree (pun intended).
Being in my wheelchair and not being able to move around very much doesn’t help with circulation so I tend to feel the cold a lot more.
So when the Blue Badge Company kindly sent me this beautiful hot water bottle to review I happily accepted. I knew it would get a lot of use from this self-confessed ice queen.
Ice-Queen No More
This wee cutie of a hot water bottle is perfect for keeping me warm without getting in my way or taking up too much space on my lap. I’m usually unable to lift a hot water but have found this mini hot water bottle easy to lift even when filled with water. For someone with zero strength, this makes me feel like superwoman.
Since having this hot water bottle I’ve taken it with me on my travels as it fits easily in my bag. Most recently coming in handy during a weekend winter break in the Northumberland Forest with temperatures as low as minus 4. It became my best friend and never left my
Another thing I love about the Emma Bridgewater mini hot water bottle (apart from having the same first name as myself) is the lovely heart design and satin ribbon. It adds a feminine touch and looks so pretty. It’s also made from soft cotton, which is nice against your skin.
As well as keeping me warm I’ve also been using it to help ease any aches or pains, especially if my muscles are tired from having a busy day and doing too much. Muscle fatigue is something I often experience, but it’s nice to relax with this hot water bottle.
There are nine hot water bottle covers to choose from. My favourite designs, other than the hearts are the owls, man’s best friend (for all you dog lovers) and nelly (elephants). Apart from the mini size, there are also large hot water bottles.
The Emma Bridgewater mini hearts hot water bottle will make a great gift for those friends and loved ones that are always cold or why not treat yourself?
