About Simply Emma

Simply Emma is a leading travel and disability blog focused on accessible travel and life experiences from a wheelchair user’s perspective. The blog was created to encourage others, with or without a disability, to travel more and make new discoveries, whether that’s abroad or in your own hometown.

Simply Emma combines my personal stories with accessible travel guides, accommodation reviews, live event reviews, travel tips and resources. I also love to discover unique experiences and accessible activities to fuel my adventurous side.

About Emma

So I guess you’re keen to find out a little more about me. Well, let’s see…I’m Emma and I’m a Scottish disability blogger and the founder of Simply Emma. I live with my partner, Allan, and our two tuxedo kittens, Arlo and Willow, in a small town in Scotland.

When not travelling or writing about our travels, you’ll find me planning our next adventure, rolling around enjoying the great outdoors at home and creating memories with our nephew. I love nothing more than relaxing with Allan on the couch with my kittens curled up in a ball on my legs watching movies and binge watching our favourite TV shows.

I also have a muscle wasting condition called Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy, which means my wheels are my legs, but that certainly hasn’t stopped me from travelling and living life the way I want to. Simply Emma is a way of sharing my experiences living with a physical disability – simply me – simply my life.

Have a question or want to share your experience? I’d love to hear from you, so please get in touch. You can also follow me on FacebookTwitter and Instagram.
