Hi! I’m Emma
Welcome to Simply Emma – my little space on the internet.
I’m a Scottish girl living in a small Scottish town with my partner and our wee cat, Milo.
I’m a girl with a passion for travel. A self-confessed planning addict and list-maker. Collector of pretty notebooks and stationery. Love to capture the moment. Lover of spearmint tea.
I also have a muscle-wasting condition called Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy (LGMD). My wheelchair/disability may be the first thing or possibly the only thing people see when they meet me. However, I want my disability to be seen in a positive way rather than a burden. It’s made me the person I am today and the reason behind this blog.
I created Simply Emma as a way of sharing my experiences living with a physical disability as well as the other aspects of my life. Focussing on accessible travel from a wheelchair user’s perspective.
Expect to find disabled travel tips, reviews on accessible and sometimes not so accessible attractions, music venues, holiday destinations and much more. I want to share my travel experiences in the hope that it might inspire you to start travelling (rolling) around the world too.
With the odd beauty-related review and lifestyle post thrown in the mix for good measure.
Thanks for stopping by and please stick around for a while longer so we can share our adventures together.
I’d love to hear from you, so please get in touch by emailing me at firstname.lastname@example.org, filling in the contact form or leave a comment on a post. You can also follow me on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and Bloglovin’.
